I’ve never been mean online through anon. Even if I submit something to another blog (like a question or even a compliment), I’m off anon. I’ve seen some bloggers going around sending compliments through anon, and I love that, but it seems like a really rare occurrence. I’m really bothered watching my friends get anon-hate for just expressing their opinion. I’m becoming a firm believer in ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all’. We’re ALL guilty of saying mean shit about someone else. I’ve never once in my life met someone who doesn’t yap about others, and that’s ok. I just feel like there’s a very fine line between venting about an occurrence, and just spewing shit because you dislike the individual, and more and more people are using the ‘vent’ excuse to be incredibly mean. Even further, it bothers me when people are rude and follow it with ‘I’m only saying this to you because I’d have no problem saying it to their face’. That doesn’t mean you should say it, or that it makes it ok. If you truly didn’t care if they heard what you were saying, you wouldn’t be talking to me, you’d be talking to them.
Just some random thoughts, nothing specifically triggered. Not anything relevant enough to bring up in face-to-face conversation, so I’m writing it out to clear space in my head. :)
A buncha people I follow have been feeling down lately, and I wish I could do more, but you should you know that you are a very very valuable person and I appreciate you, even if it’s for some shallow reason like ‘what you post on you blog’. I follow you because I think you’re a great person to listen to and I like getting inside your mind (because at the core of blogging, that’s what it is, the blogger’s soul, thoughts, and feelings). I don’t want any of you to feel sad or unwanted, but I know it’s unavoidable sometimes. Just don’t give up and keep going. You’re worth it and I love you, even if I’m a million miles away.
Literally in love with her.
Made me smile to see something POSITIVE about ‘Christianity’ on Tumblr for a change. I’m not religious myself, but I don’t think religion is bad, as long you don’t abuse it. And this just illustrates that all this hate on religion is mostly uncalled for. I get that the loudest, meanest, most judgmental people use their religion as a crutch, but that doesn’t mean ALL religious people hate gays and minorities, which I think is sometimes forgotten.
They did Big Rock Candy Mountain….
WHY ARE THEY SO COOL???
